It's not a new thing for my husband to work away in the week, often leaving very early Monday morning and returning Friday night. It's never been nice, but we've always coped. The last few weeks of it though have been quite tough. I suppose it's the combination of being heaily pregnant, having a 5 year old who is really pushing the limits at the moment, and the rubbish weather all having an impact.
It has got me thinking though about things I could do to make life easier on myself!!! I absolutely love my slow cooker but I have to admit it has spent way to much time in the cupboard lately. So my ambitions for this week are to make better use of the slow cooker (getting meals planned and then ready when i have the time in the morning or when i've got the energy) rather than having to trudge through making dinner in the evening.
My second ambition is to finally get caught up on the washing that I got behind at during Christmas (oops). After a big push at the weekend I'm nearly there so just need to keep up the pace the next few days and all should come together.
My last ambition of the week is to finally bring something creative into this blog. I've made far to many crochet baby hats during my nesting and although i'm keen to make a dress as well, I'm quite keen to make something for the house. So I'm hoping that once I've got my head round the washing chaos it will allow more creative thinking to surface again. Here's hoping at least.

Today's mission - Combat Chaos
Well I suspect it will be more than a one day job!!! But today is the start. I've got about 4 1/2 weeks left until my due date and once again I've got a stubborn breech baby. I was in the same position last pregnancy and was able to speak to many knowledgeable people and was able to successfully get him to turn. One of the things suggested by a hypnobirthing expert was to ensure there was nothing stopping me from feeling ready to give birth, as our mind can be a very strong adversary or ally depending on the situation. So after my first moxibustion / accupuncture session last night (another thing i did last time) i'm starting on the emotional side today. I'm hoping this process will also keep me from spending too much time relaxing on the sofa which is a big no no to get in 'optimal positioning' :-D
So today's tasks so far are:
To order any maternity/birth necessities that i dont have.
Organise all the clothes that are just thrown into her wardrobe and take stock of anything else thats needed
Spend at least 10 min in the Breech inversion (dont ask it's not pretty!!)
Catch up with the boys washing and get their clothes put away
Tidy up my bedroom so there is plenty of room in there for her
Make myself a nice hot chocolate and spend some time thinking positively and getting over any fear of being mum to three.......
Doesn't seem like a lot, but we'll see how the day progresses!!!

A sceptical Croc convert
So I've really never seen the appeal of Crocs AT ALL despite hearing many good things about them. We've got a big family trip to WDW Florida this May and I've done a lot of reasearching on footwear to take and how to keep feet comfy. Crocs (along with a good pair of trainers) kept coming up.... so I was in a bit of a dilema...to croc or not to croc.
Then I saw them on sale on the Sport Direct website for £2. Well I figured I could part with £2 and see what all the fuss was about. I also managed to pick up a pair of New Balance trainers for only £20 so was very happy about that too.
They arrived two days ago and i've been wearing them around the house to see what I think and I have to admit that, wow, they're pretty darn comfy!!!! Ok so they're not the most attractive shoes and the colour is a bit in your face, but my feet are happy so I can put up with that!

A new start to 2011
So I've been reflecting on 2010 and looking forward to 2011. Trying to find a positive project (not a resolution!!) to help me focus my mind and this is what I came up with. I like to think of myself as a creative person, but i do tend to lean towards chaos quite a bit. So this year I'm going to try to tackle and embrase both in a positive way....not quite sure what that looks like yet....but it'll be fun finding out.
I've just set up a very basic blog layout as I dont know too much about 'blogging' yet, so my first task is to spruce it up and make it more me. Would love to take you along for the ride if you're interested in seeing where this chaos leads...
